Periodontics

The silent killer

This disease can progress and become quite severe without the patient experiencing any pain whatsoever.

Deposits of bacteria (dental plaque) and tartar between the teeth causes inflammation of the gums (Gingivitis). Over the years, this inflammation can spread to the underlying bone that supports the teeth (Periodontitis), creating bone loss. Subsequently, the tooth might loosen, and in more severe cases, fall out.

Call our office as soon as possible if you suspect that you might be having some of these symptoms; the longer you wait, the less chances we have to save your teeth.
